As 2024 comes to and end we’d like to celebrate some of the things we’ve been able to do this year, and give you a preview of some of the things we’re up to next year!
In January of 2024 we held our first public training for GenAI for Life Sciences, we had an ideal showing of about 20 people from three companies. We also integrated the feedback from that training to enhance our offerings.

In February our founders, Richard Jaenisch, MPH and David Jaenisch, spoke at the ISPE San Diego Round Table Event, focusing their talk on GenAI in Biomanufacturing. We gave it a spotlight in our blog on uploaded Knowledge in ChatGPT.
In March we joined the Parenteral Drug Association for their annual PDA Week in Long Beach. While we didn’t have any speaking sessions specifically, or posters to present, we asked a lot of helpful questions and engaged in robust discussions in every talk on AI integration, Workforce Development, and Patient related impacts of policy.

In April, David joined with other AI experts and spoke at ISPE Greater Los Angeles’ Vendor Night on the Queen Anne. We’ve posted some informative clips of the talks on LinkedIn. Speaking with experts like Rodney Sappington, Ph.D. of Acesio Inc. moderating, along with fellow panelists Niraj Kachhadia️ of Rockwell Automation, and Scott Kobayashi of BioPhy. And Richard was honored by the PDA Southern California Chapter as Volunteer of the Quarter.
In May, Richard talked about a project we’re supporting with Open Biopharma Research and Training Institute called the GPT Parallels Project, with the PDA Pacific Northwest Chapter. Richard guided a presentation on how workforce development is being impacted by Generative AI, and how imperative guided learning is to a successful relationship between business and their employees.
During the summer we belted out some new products to help partners, clients and folks better understand some practical ways to integrate Generative AI into their work. We Launched a Second Glance, 483 Inquiry, ReadyNetGo, and LivingBook.

- Second Glance is a Generative AI tool that can be integrated into systems or used independently.
- Provides additional information about the specifics of packaging labels and their compliance with appropriate FDA regulations.
- Provides data about how two labels may differ, and when joined with additional sensors which can aid in comparison of final visual inspection of product.

- 483 Inquiry is a Generative AI tool that can be integrated into systems or used independently.
- Assist QC professionals ensure SOPs maintain compliance with 483s or FDA CFRs by providing information about any pertinent 483s to that SOP.
- Inform projects and provide insights about updates to internal audits.

- LivingBook is a Generative AI tool that can be integrated into systems or used independently.
- LivingBook aides learning systems by integrating knowledge-sets and creating robust testing materials that can be more easily reviewed by subject matter experts.
- LivingBook can be applied to any SOP series, and is designed to be used in conjunction with hands-on training but does not require it.
- Can be adapted for onboarding, safety, and most training systems.

- Ready Net Go is a Generative AI tool that can be integrated into systems or used independently.
- Ready Net Go aides networking and connecting with Individuals, organizations, and/or resources that would pair well together.
- Ready Net Go at its core is a practical matchmaking engine that uses Generative AI to provide more fitting leads, candidates, mentor/mentees or networking matches
- Can be adapted for project or event focused.

In August David headlined ISPE SanDiego’s Vendor Night talking about AI with Niraj Kachhadia of Rockwell Automation, Nick Armstrong of CAI and Steven Laflin CSP, FMP, SFP, CLSSBB, CSSBB, CSCM of Genentech with a primer on AI terminology from Richard.

In September PICLLC supported Team CJ in the Liver Coalition of San Diego’s Liver Walk and Picnic. David and Richard were joined by friends and family on the 5k to support patients with liver disease. A personal link, their mom, CJ was a survivor of Hep C and Richard is a survivor and liver transplant recipient.

In October Richard was honored with Anders Nyberg Volunteer of the Year award from Liver Coalition of San Diego at the annual Liver Excellence Gala. Richard and David were both in attendance to celebrate his Patient advocacy work.

In November, Richard led two sessions at AASLD’s The Liver meeting on HCV Elimination, and another on The Patient Journey. In the Patient Journey Richard made a point to talk about the role of ChatGPT and self-education of patients, and how that impacted his own journey in end stage liver disease.
In December, Richard helped kick off the Hepatitis C Summit California in Los Angeles, working with Physicians, Public Health Workers, and Medical professionals working with patients navigating live with Hepatitis C and doing their part for viral elimination efforts.

In early February, 2025, Richard joined an Innerspace event at Open Biopharma, as a Patient Speaker, speaking to the essential patient safety in training. Naturally, at PICLLC, we encourage pairing training and education with our tools to ensure their uptake and success.

In 2025, Richard will be presenting at PDA Week in Palm Springs on the ongoing GPT Parallels Project and its lessons for integration of Generative AI in research and biomanufacturing. PICLLC will be supporting their next phase of the project as it now enters the pre-manufacturing stages.
We’ll be announcing some new events this year, and places to meet us! Make sure to schedule a meeting with us if you’re heading to PDA Week in April!
